Claudia Peregrina is a dynamic multidisciplinary artist committed to fostering a positive social impact in the communities through her art. Her focus is on underprivileged populations, particularly immigrant women grappling with the aftermath of trauma. Claudia’s work is a testament to the transformative power of creativity.
Driven by a profound sense of empathy and understanding, Claudia recognizes the unique challenges faced by immigrants, especially women, navigating a world rife with adversity. Drawing upon this empathy, she channels her artistic vision into a social arena where storytelling becomes a tool for resilience and healing.
Claudia’s artistic practice transcends traditional boundaries, encompassing a rich tapestry of mediums including photography, folk embroidery, papier maché, and painting. Through these diverse interdisciplinary lenses, she creates spaces for shared experiences, where personal narratives are honored and emotions find expression through movement and visual arts.
At the heart of Claudia’s work lies a commitment to amplifying voices often silenced by society’s constraints, empowering individuals to reclaim their stories and find solidarity. Claudia, originally from Mexico City, currently resides in Philadelphia. In addition to her work in the art arena, she also develops the role of Senior Director at Mighty Writers. A non-profit organization centered to generate great impact through art, culture, and writing education to children and teen youth.
